Crane Mobile

This is a piece I gifted to my English teacher, who told me she was having trouble grading assignments because she was struggling with depression.

It took me 3-4 hours to make this thing. Behind the words “Don’t worry, be happy” is a wooden ring from which I hung strings of sewing thread. I used a sewing needle to puncture each crane and thread the string through. I then tied a bead at the end of the string to keep the crane from falling off.

I made two more versions of this, one much larger to hang up in my family’s music room, and a smaller one for my own bedroom.
